![]() ![]() ![]() Well, as titled, Big Fish is a big fish, too big to play with smaller fish. This children's story is an original story which the author has also illustrated. Amani for this nice illustrating of friendship. I think another important point is that Big Fish removes the binary opposition between nature and culture, for instance here we have the characters such as fish or moon, they are personified and also they are the significant symbols in this case big fish represents a lonely person by her/his own, and moon represents the nature and it's better to say this nature represents the passage of time and its importance in the life of every individuals. Big fish teaches us use our time to make friends and have pleasure with them, also it doesn't matter how we are big or small, black or white, etc. So it doesn't matter at all whether they communicate to others and make real friends or not. Children just amuse their selves with terrifying computer and Internet games which make their loneliness deeper and deeper. ![]() Yeah the concept which is nowadays spreading all over the world although every body does her/his best to have more friends and actually has many friends through the virtual world but not a real one. Again another nice short story “for kids and thoughtful parents,”Big Fish, well it reminds me a great, pleasant but forgotten concept. ![]()
